What is the difference between incoming cabinet and outgoing cabinet?
1. The concept is different. The incoming cabinet is a switch cabinet that introduces power from outside. In general, 10kV power supply is introduced from the power supply network, and 10kV power supply sends electric energy to 10kV bus through the switch cabinet. The switch cabinet used for leading and sending is the incoming cabinet. The outgoing cabinet is a switch cabinet that distributes electric energy from the bus. The 10kV bus is sent to the power transformer through the switch cabinet, which is one of the 10kV outgoing line cabinets.
2. The functions are different. The incoming cabinet is the main switch cabinet on the load side, which bears the current carried by the whole bus. Since the switch cabinet is connected to the load output of the main transformer and the low-voltage side, it shows its important role. The outlet switch cabinet shall be installed at the low voltage side of the transformer, through which the electric energy shall be sent to the low voltage bus, and then several low-voltage switch cabinets shall be installed at the low voltage side to send the electric energy to each power consuming place. These low-voltage switch cabinets are outgoing cabinets.
How does the incoming cabinet work?
1. The incoming cabinet is the main switch cabinet on the load side, which bears the current carried by the whole bus. Since the switch cabinet is connected with the load output of the main transformer and the low-voltage side, it plays an important role. In terms of relay protection, when the busbar or circuit breaker at the low voltage side of the main transformer fails, the over-current protection at the low voltage side of the transformer trips the incoming cabinet switch to remove the fault. The backup protection at the low voltage side of the main transformer shall also be used to cut off the incoming cabinet switch in case of bus fault at the low voltage side.
2. The transformer differential protection action also removes the circuit breaker at the low voltage side of the transformer, namely the incoming cabinet. For 110kV substation, the switch parameters of low voltage incoming cabinet are different from those of other switch cabinets. Rated current: 3150A~4000A, rated breaking current: 31,5~40kA. The parameters of 10kV bus coupler switch cabinet and incoming cabinet are the same. Other feeder switch cabinets and capacitor cabinets shall be switch cabinets with rated current of 1250A and rated breaking current of 25~31,5kA.
